Level 5 Stylist

Annette has been a stylist for 35 years and still absolutely loves what she does. Over the years, she has had the pleasure of owning her own salon and spa for nine wonderful years, where she worked on everything from nails to facials to hair. These days, she is able to focus on what she loves the most—hair. There is nothing more rewarding to Annette than helping people feel confident, beautiful and happy with how they look.

KATIE DEININGER

Level 5 Stylist and Lash Lift Artist

A licensed cosmetologist since 2012, Katie specializes in full-body waxing, hair, and nail services. She is passionate about building connections, sharing stories, and providing a confidence-boosting experience that leaves clients smiling. Katie loves making every appointment professional yet comfortable. Outside the salon, she is a proud wife and mother who enjoys life on the river, reading, and traveling to explore new cities and historic homes across the country.

MCKENZIE TIMMONS

Level 4 Stylist

McKenzie has been doing hair for 20 years, and still loves what she does! McKenzie specializes in highlighting and blonding — there is nothing better than helping clients feel their best and fall in love with their hair! McKenzie has been married to my handsome husband for 14 years, and have two amazing kids — a son and a daughter. When not behind the chair, you’ll usually find me at the hockey rink cheering on her son, enjoying Starbucks dates with her daughter or spending time with family and friends.

LAURA FERNANDES

Level 3 Nail Technician and Stylist

With four years of experience behind the chair, Laura brings a calm, thoughtful touch to every appointment. Known for her gentle approach and attentive listening, she creates customized haircuts, soft lived-in color, and elegant styles for special occasions. Whether crafting effortless balayage or shaping a fresh new look, Laura focuses on enhancing her clients’ natural beauty while ensuring they feel comfortable and cared for throughout the process.

ASHLYNN JOHNSON

Level 3 Stylist

Ashlynn is a Michigan native calling Dubuque home for 18 years, Ashlynn combines eight years of cosmetology experience with massage therapy. She loves creating fresh changes—from clipper cuts to full highlights—to make you look your best. On the spa side, Ashlynn specializes in deep relaxation and pain relief. Whether providing haircuts, colors, manicures, or massage, she is dedicated to helping every client look and feel better from the inside out.

KARI POTTER

Level 3 Stylist

With 22 years as a hairstylist and makeup artist, Kari has a true passion for creating lived-in looks that make clients feel radiant. Specializing in blonding and flawless makeup, she believes beauty is personal and tailors every service to match your unique vibe. When not making clients glow, Kari is a proud mom of three boys who enjoys quiet moments with a good book, peaceful walks, delicious food, and strong coffee. Life’s all about balance—and great hair helps.

DESTINY CLAYBORNE

Level 3 Stylist

A licensed cosmetologist with six years of experience, Destiny specializes in nail enhancements, soft glam lash extensions, and body waxing. She takes a client-focused approach built on trust and comfort, prioritizing detailed results and client education. Destiny strives to create a warm environment where every guest feels heard and valued. Outside the salon, she enjoys curling up with a good book and spending time with her four fur babies—her dog and three cats, who keep life cozy, playful, and full of love.
