Your first Yoga or Total Body Conditioning class is FREE for area residents. We are delighted to be offering EQUIPMENT-BASED PILATES. Click on our fitness schedule for complete class times and fees.
Please arrive at least 5 minutes before class to maximize the fitness experience for yourself and other participants. Wear loose comfortable clothing for all classes.
CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
TBC (Strength/Cardio): Total Body Conditioning classes offer exercises to develop strength or cardio endurance. TBC classes will balance your body well by building muscle, burning calories and increasing your energy levels. Attending both strength and cardio TBC classes is highly recommended.
STEP: One of the most popular and effective workouts to build cardiovascular strength and endurance, this workout includes 30 of minutes aerobic movement using the STEP, as well as core conditioning, relaxation and cool down.
Yoga: In this open-level class you’ll experience the benefits of Hatha Yoga, balancing both energetic and relaxing experiences in your body. Practice both asana (poses) and breath sequencing to bring balance to your mind, body & spirit.
Vinyasa Yoga: Vinyasa Flow is a moving form of yoga linking one pose smoothly to the next. Sun Salutations will be a regular practice in this class, opening up the body to a deeper level. Core work is also included.
Lunchtime Yoga: Bring a healthy dose of stretch, breath, and balance to your lunch break with this well-rounded yoga practice.
Restorative Yoga: This class builds a safe, comfortable environment for participants to be guided into a blissful state of relaxation using longer supported postures, and breathing techniques. This guided time provides a sanctuary of peace, stillness, healing and deep, deep relaxation. Participants leave feeling refreshed and inspired.
Beginner Yoga: Build a yoga practice from a strong foundation. Your instructor will lead you through standing, seated, twisting, and basic back bending postures to open up your body. Accompanied with purposeful breath, you will gain awareness, flexibility, and strength in body and mind.
Hour of Soul Fitness: Step off the “Hamster Wheel” of life and gift yourself one hour of peace and quiet. Hour will begin with breath awareness (pranayama) and continue with time for you to connect with your Universal Power. Variety of seating supplied. Love offering
Graduate Yoga: Taught by students who have recently completed their 200 Hour yoga certification under the instruction of Julia Theisen. This class is on Sundays from 9:00-10:15 AM.
NIA: Nia is an expressive body-mind movement practice embracing fitness and health. Movement is done to a variety of music with an emphasis on listening to one’s body and moving in a way that brings joy. It is for anyone regardless of age, size or fitness level.
Yogalates: Develop core strength, flexibility, and balance! This class emphasizes core stability (lower abdominal and postural muscles) based on classic Pilates principles and Hatha Yoga. All fitness and experience levels are welcome. The class is designed to accommodate and challenge each individual.
Pilates: Pilates is a low impact, deep muscle conditioning method that strengthens, stretches, and balances the entire body. It specifically targets the “core” muscle groups correcting alignment and enabling the body to move efficiently. This class will focus on Pilates mat exercises.
Equipment-Based Pilates: Use of the Reformer and Combo Chair Pilates equipment offer you additional resistance and assistance to further develop your form and strength. Working with Equipment Pilates provides a safe foundation to strengthen, lengthen, and rehabilitate your body.
